The Lenten Journey
Lent, a season of reflection that starts annually with Ash Wednesday and leads to the celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ at Easter.
Join us this Lenten season at Cross Roads Church. There are so many ways this Lenten season to be in reflection and preparation as we journey to the cross in celebration of the risen Christ this Easter. During Holy Week (April 10-17), you'll be able to visit the Virtual Stations of the Cross right here on this page.

The Stations of the Cross is a practice that stretches back to the earliest church. While it's easy to consider this a penitential practice - and one especially appropriate for Lent - the Stations of the Cross truly have no season. Injustice, sorrow, suffering, confusion and death can affect us at any time. The pandemic has certainly heightened those feelings in each of us and walking the stations can offer comfort, healing and wholeness by connecting each of us with the suffering that Christ took on for us and with relativity for our lives today. We invite you to virtually walk this interpretation of the way of the cross using the videos in this series. Each one is a 3-5 minute video offering various styles of prayer, music and meditation. It is our hope that as you walk with Jesus in this way - that something will meet you where you are today - across all seasons - and to bear witness to the suffering in the world around us and to our continued hope in the risen Lord.

Sermon Series: DELIVERANCE: Living the Exodus Story. One of the most foundational stories in all of Scripture is God’s deliverance of the people from slavery in Egypt. The Exodus story has captured imaginations with its burning bush, signs and wonders, plagues, and promises. Ever since, God’s people have understood this story as not just being a story of what happened to someone else in the past, but also as our own story of what has happened to us. It is the story illustrating our own deliverance, just as it illustrates our own calling to come to worship God in freedom. This Lent, as we prepare for the greatest act of deliverance given to us on the cross of Jesus Christ, we will retell and relive the Exodus story and experience the good news of Deliverance. Join us at 10am on Sundays in-person or on Facebook!
