Welcome!
We feel Christian Education is important for the spiritual development of each one of us. Sunday School classes and small groups set the stage for better and deeper understanding of God's Word for us. It is a comprehensive way of learning from one another and to receive and grow into living by God's Word. It also provides for and fosters close relationships in fellowship, friendship and trust. We invite you to read more about what is offered at Cross Roads Church and to try a group or class. If it doesn't fit you, no worries! Try another! |
We are pleased to offer this winter/spring several adult Sunday School and small group offerings. Classes are offer in-person, by Zoom or in a hybrid model. This will allow for all to participate in the way that they feel most comfortable with. Sunday School classes are Sunday mornings at 11:30 am. Small Groups specifics are noted. Simply show up on campus for in-person participation. If you would like to participate via Zoom, please contact the church office for specifics.
The Seekers Sunday School Class - 11:30 am in the parlor (Adults). "What Love does" This small group style Sunday School class is for the doubter and the dreamer, the seeker and the sojourner, those who long for a sense of spiritual wholeness as well as those who have been hurt by the Church but can't seem to let go of the story of Jesus. Wrestle with God's grace and love and explore universal human questions about becoming and belonging.
The WORD Sunday School ON SUMMER BREAK- 11:30 am in the adult ed classroom (Adult). Do you have any idea what John is talking about in the Book of Revelation? He mentions "...four living creatures and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back..." (Rev 4:6) and "...then appeared an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns..." (Rev 12:3) and he mentions a great battle between Gog and Magog (Rev 20:7) as well as a "1000-year reign" (Rev 20:2b) and, of course, the mark of the Beast (Rev 13:16)! It's intimidating to say the least. What if I told you that "The Apocalypse of John" or The Book of Revelation is actually about perseverance and hope? Would you come join The WORD each Sunday as we learn about apocalyptic literature, Revelation's Old Testament tie-ins, and what we believe is REALLY going on in this often mis-applied final book of the New Testament? We will do those things and put Revelation in its historical context and discuss ways it has been misunderstood and misused in the past. We look forward to seeing you! Youth Sunday School - 11:30 am in the Youth Room. "30 Days to Understanding the Bible" will help you learn the Bible's key people, events and doctrines to get more out of God's Word in just 15 minutes a day! Children's Sunday School - 11:30 am in the Children's Sunday School Room. |
